Hey guys,
Gametime is 3 hours away, but I wanted to put up the thread. I'll be covering PBP, but I'll be back potentially slightly after 1, so if someone could be so kind as to help the out of towners until I get in, that would be great.
GO RAVENS!!!! :jester:

Hey guys, I'm here and ready to PBP!
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:03 PM
Cribbs returns to the 46.
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:05 PM
1st, Jamal swallowed up at the line, no gain, maybe a half yard.
2nd and 10, playfake, man in on Anderson, complete to Jurevicius for 9.
3rd and 1, give to the upback Vickers for 5 and a first.
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:09 PM
1st from the Ravens 40, Jamal met at the line, gain of 2.
2nd and 8, Jamal for 6, a Raven jumped offside. They'll take that.
2nd and 3, Jamal met at the line, gain of 1.
3rd and 2, Reed got mixed up, complete to Winslow, who benefitted form the pick on Reed down to the 8.
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:11 PM
1st and goal from the 8, fade to Braylon, way overthrown.
2nd, Anderson pressured, steps up and shovels to Braylon for 6.
3rd and goal from the 2, caught by Jurevicius, touchdown. Spikes the ball at Ray, no penalty called. Typical NFL refs.

Nice of the defense to not show up for today's game. Didn't even wait for the fourth quarter today. :(
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:14 PM
Figurs to the 23.
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:16 PM
1st, complete to D-will on the skinny post for about 15. First down!
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:18 PM
1st down from the 39, play action, ball overthrown for Heap, almost to the safety playing center field.
2nd, complete to Wilcox in the flat going left, gain of 2. Ball thrown very high.
3rd and 8, shotgun, incomplete to D-Will who had someone hanging all over him. PI is called.
darb72
09-30-2007, 01:19 PM
Why is it we don't Lloyd play? The guy has a really strong leg and Stovers kicks tend to be on the short side.
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:20 PM
1st from the 47, Willis up the middle for 5.
2nd and 5, Willis up the middle from the singleback, gain of 2.
3rd and 3, complete to Clayton who found an open pocket, then catches and run for 19 to the 27 yard line!
darb72
09-30-2007, 01:21 PM
Jamal might have more yards rushing this season, but I can tell a big difference in the running game with Willis in there. He actually works well in the hole and can pick up short yardage unlike the Tap-Dancing Bear.
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:21 PM
1st from the 27, ball thrown RIGHT to Leigh Bodden, who is tackled and fumbles, but it goes out of bounds. Horrible decision. Stared down his receiver and had no chance.
darb72
09-30-2007, 01:22 PM
Another great read and throw by McNair. Hits the defender right in the numbers.
Merlin
09-30-2007, 01:22 PM
McNair does not look sharp -- a couple of times he has slipped in his sets -- think the groin is still acting up :(
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:23 PM
God, it was even worse on replay. Horrible read on the field.

09-30-2007, 01:24 PM
1st from the 22 for Cleveland, deep for Braylon who beat C-Mac by 20 yards, TD Browns.
Unbelievable.
Merlin
09-30-2007, 01:24 PM
Mac wasn't within 10 yards of that play -- DAMN!!!
darb72
09-30-2007, 01:25 PM
Wow. Simply wow. Long TD pass to Braylon Edwards because McAlister bit on the route. I'd be a lot madder about it if C-Mac wasn't usually so good.
Merlin
09-30-2007, 01:25 PM
Figurs better return it for a TD
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:25 PM

Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:27 PM
Figurs returns to the 26.
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:29 PM
1st, McGahee spins, breaking 2 tackles and gets 11. First down.
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:31 PM
1st, Willis off tackle left for 2.
2nd and 8, Willis sees daylight, and gets 14 and another first.
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:31 PM
1st from the Browns 47, Musa in, complete to D-Will for 12 and another first.
darb72
09-30-2007, 01:33 PM
And a delay of game for McNair. Holy crap this guy is getting worse.
Merlin
09-30-2007, 01:34 PM
has someone given McNair a tranquilizer -- this calm, glazed look in his eyes as we get a delay of game is just maddening!!!

What in the hell is going on here??? I'm watching the game on our boat on a little TV. I figured it was the TV. This is disgusting!!!!
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:35 PM
1st from the 35, Musa pushes forward for 3-4, a Brown pushes down someone really late, but no flags called.
2nd and 7, delay of game.
2nd and 12, McNair pumps, then throws for Clayton, incomplete. Behind him. Flag down. No foul. Apparently an expected chop block.
3rd and 12, Ravens take a TO.
darb72
09-30-2007, 01:37 PM
46 yarder by Matt Stover is no good.
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:37 PM
3rd and 12, shotgun, complete to Mason for 9. Another not trying play. D-Will looked like he was coming open.
Stover on from 46, no good. Awful kick. Worst FG I've ever seen him attempt.
Merlin
09-30-2007, 01:37 PM

09-30-2007, 01:39 PM
1st from the 36, Jamal up the middle for 5.
2nd and 5, Cribbs takes the direct snap, gain of 2-3 on the run.
3rd and 3, PICKED BY REED, and he gets to the 25!!!
psuasskicker
09-30-2007, 01:40 PM
Finally something goes our way. Dammit Reed scares me when he carries the ball...he holds it SO far away from his body...

1st from the Browns 24, Willis gets 5 going right. That will end the first quarter.

09-30-2007, 01:40 PM
CMON! we need a touchdown off this turnover!
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:42 PM
2nd and 5, slant to Mason to the 11 and another first down.

09-30-2007, 01:44 PM
We need a TD here badly. Swing ol' Moe back in our favor.
Merlin
09-30-2007, 01:45 PM
If the announcers can see how McNair's groin is affecting his throws so should our coaches upstairs -- he should be replaced with Boller for health reasons
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:45 PM
1st and 10 (from the 11), I form, way overthrown for D-Will. McNair can NOT set his body.
2nd, Musa for 3.
3rd and 7, complete to Mason to the 3. Mason's YAC try cost us a first, though it would have been iffy.
Stover on again, and BARELY made it.
14-3 Browns. Really needed a TD there.

Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:51 PM
1st, Jamal up the middle for about 2. Met strongly.
2nd and 8, Jamal gets a huge hole, goes for 28, and goes down to the 45. Need to seriously regroup and soon.
Merlin
09-30-2007, 01:51 PM

Sephy

1st, Jamal for 2 up the middle again.
2nd and 8, Wright benefits from a huge block, and gets inside the 25.
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:55 PM
1st from the 24, Jamal for 1, maybe 2.
2nd and 8, incomplete for Braylon, Anderson held the ball for awhile.
3rd and 8, ball thrown way out of bounds. Finally a stop.
Dawson's FG is good. 17-3. We need TDs, and NOW.
Sephy
09-30-2007, 01:58 PM
Fumble on the tackle by Figurs, and the Browns recover.
Un..fucking..believable.

1st from the 31, Jamal for 4ish.
2nd and 6, Jamal for 1-2.
3rd and 4, no pressure, but the pass is incomplete for Winslow.
Another Dawson FG try... NO GOOD! Wide left!
There is a flag down, and the Browns are celebrating. OFFSIDES. FIRST DOWN. UNBELIEVABLE
Sephy
09-30-2007, 02:04 PM
1st from the 20, flag down on the snap, incomplete for Vickers. Illegal formation.
1st and 15, Jamal stopped for a half yard gain.
2nd and 14, complete to Winslow for 11-12 yards.

1st from the 21, pitch to Willis, gain of about 5. Flags down. Offensive holding. Defensive holding as well.

Sephy
09-30-2007, 02:13 PM
1st and 10, Willis stiff arms 2 guys going left, then completely reverses his field and gets all the way to midfield!!!
UNBELIEVABLE RUN. Maybe the best I'v eseen from a Raven.
Sephy
09-30-2007, 02:14 PM
1st from the 49, no gain from Musa, and a personal foul facemask adds to it.
Sephy
09-30-2007, 02:16 PM
1st from the Browns 36, McNair's pass deflected at the line.
2nd, blitzer hits Musa at his legs, no gain, maybe 1.
3rd and 10, Ravens take a TO.
Sephy
09-30-2007, 02:17 PM
3rd and 10, complete to Heap for 15 and a first.
2 minute warning.
RavensNTerps
09-30-2007, 02:17 PM
McNair needs to sit. He can't keep playing like this...no velocity on his throws, which takes away literally 2/3 of the passes that a QB can throw. If he can't step in, get out, don't continue to hurt the team.

Sephy
09-30-2007, 02:25 PM
1st and 10 from the 11, over the top and overthrown for Wilcox who was double covered. Would have had to been perfectly thrown.
2nd, another fade to D-Will way overthrown. Had it been thrown correctly, easy TD. Get McNair the fuck out of there.
3rd, Pool knocks away the pass for Heap, would have had no chance anyway. Another defender was back there.
Stover's FG is good, 24-6. Boller MUST go in in the 2nd half.

The FG to make it 24-6 was really a smart move. We needed 7 there, at all costs.

They need Boller.
We threw one "fade" pass there, and that was to DWILL which wasn't really a traditional fade anyawy, but should have been a TD.
The problem is, McNair doesn't have the arm (or groin, I guess) to fit a tight ball on the seem routes which is killing us in the red zone. KILILNG US. 3/4 of the field is taken away b/c McNair can't make the throws in the redzone. Its tough to watch.

I was pretty disgusted, I couldn't call it, but a nice stand to hold the Browns to the FG. Still in this game, but need a TD NOW. If not NOW, the game is really over.

I don't believe that. This isn't college these are pros. They don't need some rah-rah crap. So far today Cleveland has not fooled anyone. That's what I think unprepared is. I mean did Gregg and Ngata and Lewis etc stop being good players. I think they are being out played TODAY. It's up to them to step forward and try to change that today. Coaching staff can look to see if there are any SYSTEM breakdowns thats what they are responsible for.

I am as loyal as any fan. We may be expecting too much from them. When you look at the games thus far this year, its easy to say we should have 2 (or possibly 3) losses already this year. Thank God for Stover. But even a solid Stover would not help today.
We need some drastic changes if we are going to make the playoffs. Its early though...

1st from the Browns 47, McNair was looking downfield forever, then takes off for 2.
Boller is warming on the sidelines.
2nd and 8, ball thrown too far outside for Mason. McNair looks extra gimpy now.
3rd and 8, Browns jump offside.
3rd and 3, incomplete for Musa back at the LOS.
Ravens will go for it.

McNair has to be coming out now. There is a good reason they forced him into Shotgun that series.
He is inneffective as our Quarterback. I'm sorry, but enough is enough. Enough of this trotting out a half-injured McNair every week and hoping he doesn't get hurt more.
And I feel bad for Boller because he is possibly coming into the game in an almost no win situation.

I totally agree. As just about every one of us has said in the past, throwing downfield will open up the short passes as well as the running game. And while McNair should know that, and let the coach know, it's just as much Billick's fault for not seeing it.
Hell, if we're all seeing it here from our couches, why can't Billick see it?

It's not that I don't have faith, but this team has shown me nothing in 3 1/2 quarters today. They finally get a TD with 7 minutes left. Now Cleveland has the ball and will run off about 3 minutes, providing we stop them. That leaves 4 minutes to get 2 TDs, something that it took them 3 1/2 quarters to do.
